Yes it will. I wouldn't follow the info for the 5400 too closely since these are two very different machines (IDE vs SCSI HDs, Video, many others). I recommend asking this on the Unsupported OS X list, but to leave you with a short answer, yes it will run Mac OS 10.1 in its current condition provided you have enough RAM.
