The 2930 card has, I believe, both internal and external 50-pin connectors, while the 2940UW has both 50-pin and 68-pin internal connectors, and a 68-pin external connector - only TWO of which can be used at one time. And the 2940UW supports Fast/Wide SCSI (40 MB/s) on the 68-pin connectors.
