A simple question:

Can you boot from an IDE HD connected to a PCI ATA card? (Say in a 7300). Someone asked me this very question the other day, and I shrugged my shoulders and said I had no experience with PCI ATA controllers.

I've got an ACard PCI ATA controller in a 7500 that I use as a file server. It doesn't boot often but it runs all the time. It has one IDE HD and a SCSI CD-ROM and can boot from either.
