I have same version and have had nothing but trouble with it
I cannot get AppleWorks to work with Acrobat 5 but it works pretty good with Microsoft Word 2000. It seems your approaching it wrong. One thing you should do is update by getting: Acrobat 5.0 Patch EFG to 5.0.5 AdobePS 8.8 Ÿ PDF Plug-in 8.5.1
You click on Adobe PS in the chooser. Then, Create Adobe PDF mounts on the desktop. But Microsoft word 2000 makes it easy. Try posting your question to > [EMAIL PROTECTED] <.
Acrobat is about as confusing as it gets. It seems buggy to me but I don't know how to get around things. For example, it's great for archiving web sites. I started archiving LowEndMac.com and then I created a link I didn't want, so I tried to clear it but it froze on me. After that, I kept getting error messages when I would click on links. It downloads links automatically. I decided to try over and I didn't get any error messages creating the links. It seems the file gets easily corrupted. There must be an easier way.
It would be big step forward in this program if you could create a pdf file from scratch within Acrobat. Once the file is created, it seems hard to change anything. You definitely have to figure out what it can and can't do for you.
