I just got an Artec 1236 USB scanner, and it seems to be in great shape. I installed the extensions that came with it, and installed the driver (actually a plug-in for whatever imaging software you want to use). As soon as I went to try a test scan, the application quit and I got a message that a 1,010 error occurred, please restart. I then downloaded the most up to date drivers/extension from the company's website, installed them, and got the same result.

This is puzzling. Has anyone out there run into this type of problem before? Is there anything particular I should be looking at?

My system is a PM8600/G3 400 OS 8.6. I would appreciate any leads anyone can suggest.

Thanks
