What exactly is the bad behaviour? Sure, if it is start-up problems only,
then consider a new battery for sure. Try reseating all your RAM. Take out
the most recently installed RAM and see if does not act up "quite" so
much... Test the RAM with Gauge Pro. Do these things in any order, maybe it
is not the battery.
