I recently stripped a damaged 7300/180 and have the processor, sled for the hard disk, and the power supply remaining.

Can the 7300 power supply be used in a 8500/7200 hybrid?

Currently it has:
- PC Compatibility Card (P166, 12")
- 2 1GB 1" drives
- 180mhz processor card from the 8500
- 8500 logic board with A/V connector
- 7200 case and power supply
- 12x CD-ROM, 256k L2 cache, case badge from the 7300
- RAM from both the 8500 and 7300

I just really got tired of opening the 8500 case. :)

While it runs OK now, wasn't the 7200 power supply rated for less power than the 7500/7600 ones? I still plan to add a Voodoo 2 to it eventually, but don't want to overload it.

Brian
