Hello
I wonder if anyone can recommand an ide drive that'l be bootable in os 9.1. My 'puter is a 9600 / G3-450 and has a tempo ata100 card - an hd connected so far , so a spare slot for a cd drive.
I've just busted the tray on my cd drive with my knee (I know, carelessnes is no excuse, but them's the facts)
Anyway, I need one that'll allow me to use the bootable discs for disk warrior etc
I know my Lite-On 48-12-48 model LTR-48125W is bootable in my Beige and was also in my 7600 with a Sonnet Trio card.
It is, by now a much older model, but I'm pretty sure that Lite-On ones have all been bootable for a while.
A good place to check would be the CDRW database at xlr8yourmac.com
You could also scrounge for an old apple IDE CD drive, that would *definitely* be bootable.
