7500/100 recent restart

[viaoddbrainstorm]

I recently restarted my 7500/100 (many months in mothballs) and I have 
a vertical band of magenta that moves across a grey screen when I move 
the mouse.  I can access the HD's via ethernet from other macs but I 
cannot get a desktop.  Any suggestions?
