So far SIMS 1.8x seems to be the winner here. It does SMTP AUTH and POP AUTH.

And it runs on even my oldest Macs. Not that I'd want it to run on something that slow. The 6100 should support it fine. If it gets hungry I can whip up something better.

Thanks all!

Subject: Mail server software...

Does anybody have a piece of free mail software that is easy to
configure that will do SMTP AUTH on something like a 7300 or even maybe
lower like a 6100?

I've got this old 7300 board here and I want to do something with it so
I'm thinking about making it a mail server in a custom box but I don't
want to have to pay $400 for Eudora's server so that I can get easy
SMTP AUTH. I could beat myself silly but I'd rather use a Mac. ;-)
