PROBLEM: For several weeks nothing wrong. THEN, this
morning, it stopped booting with an error saying
either "bus error" or "illegal operation". I tried
testing each and every DIMM (took FOREVER)with the
same results. Thought it might be the patch that
allows my 9500 to run 9.2.1 so I booted from the CD
with no problem (raised an eyebrow) then installed 9.0
on one of my SyQuest carts. Booted fine at first. .
.but after second boot. . .SAME ERROR MESSAGES!!! Is
my motherboard done?! Do I dump everything and buy
new!? (biting nails, tapping foot, sweating like some
sort of farm animal. . .losing $$$!!)

If all else fails try a hard reset by unplugging the computer and removing the PRAM battery overnight.
