Have you zapped the PRAM yet? Command-Option-P-R. I'd do it at least three times. -J
or more about 12 times someone said was needed, whatabout start with extensions off and run norton disk doctor or diskwarrior, and unplug all the zips and stuff. I remember this as some extension going corrupt just like that, I think perhaps it was the wacom drivers then, I never ever got that drawingboard to work, it now resides in the attic, the original drivers was too old and the downloadable ones to new, and it disrupted the filestructure on the hds.
