Nathan asked ...

How do I find out which kind of G3 I have? I know there were problems with IDE drives on the Rev 1 systems... And if I have one of these, is there anyway around this issue?

The foolproof way to find what model G3 you have is to open it up and look for the controller chip (fairly good size). If the designation "402" is printed on the chip, you have Rev. 2.

Sorry, can't help with the second part of your question.
