Of course, the first thing I did was replace the battery. No change. I had purchased several, so a put in another battery, just in case the first one was DOA. No change. Pressed the CUDA button, both with the machine off and on. I get a chime, but still the grey display. There is some initial activity out of the hard drive, but that soon ends.
a dead hardrive or a harddrive with broken filestructure, (does it click repeatedly ?) or a badly seated ramchip are the next 2 things to check, can you check the hd with another machine ??
