For some time now, I've had computer stability using Eudora 4.2.1 to receive e-mail on my PowerMac 7300, OS 9.1, provided that I de-select html graphics downloading and animated GIFs in its settings (to avoid a constant freezing up when graphics are addedm to messages).

Well, I finally got tired of no graphics in Eudora, recently downloading Outlook Express 5.0.6 to replace it. I'd used OuEx several years ago, so thought I was familiar enough with it, but I've been utterly unable to configure it. When I check messages with Outlook Express, I always get an error message that either the "user-name" or the password are incorrect. How can I get around this problem? I've not found a settings panel comparable to Eudora on Outlook Express.

Perhaps I need to have my internet service provider to help me figure this out, but just in case anyone has overcome this problem with Outlook Express, I would appreciate knowing how you did it.

Thanks in advance
