Sorry, i know this is off topic, but i wanted to know if apple sells used comps. if so, please give me a link to their site that sells them. I looked all over and couldn't find out if apple sells used comps or not. Thank you! ~ Ben
The short answer is no, the expanded answer is they do sell refurbished computers which are those bought and returned, used as demos, etc ... they aren't "used" as in previously owned by someone else, but they are not new either.
The yet longer answer is that they also sell existing stock of past product generations, ie, if they have many older G4s laying about they will sell them on the same page as the refurbs.
So if you are looking for something that is a bit older, ie something before the last model G4s that were released prior to the G4, then Apple does not sell what you are looking for, and if you are looking for actual used computers, no they don't. But if you are finding something for your budget ... they might have a deal for you.
Go to http://www.apple.com/store and on the bottom left there is a link for Specials, that is the refurb. section.
No, they leave that to the hundreds of resellers around the country. -- Adrian
Not exactly true, most resellers don't deal in used Macs as the authorization for an Apple Authorized Reseller is only for current products. However, there are tons of used Mac dealers in every part of the country. Which I am sure is what you mean. Most are as bad as a bad used car dealer though [no offense if we have any honest used car dealers on the list]. So if you seek one of them out, know what you are looking for, what it should have, and how much its worth, otherwise ... well, buyer beware often times is all. Education is expensive.
