Where are you located?  I just bought a used G4/400 with 512 Mb of 
RAM, 20 Gb hard drive, and a DVD Rom for $399 from a store in 
Sarasota, FL that specializes in Macs.  It was a trade in, so they 
appear to deal with used ones on a regular basis.
