>From the Seagate website: Q: When I first power up my computer, the Seagate SCSI drive does not show up on my desktop, but if I reboot the computer, the drive mounts properly. Why?
A: When the Mac OS system starts up, it scans the SCSI bus. The Seagate drive is not ready when the Computer scans the bus so the driver doesn't load and the drive is not mounted. Check the following: 1: Ensure the Start Delay jumper is not set. 2: Try changing the Remote Start jumper. 3: Contact your drive preparation software manufacturer for special mounting software. 4: Contact your computer manufacturer for SCSI bus information. 5: If none of the above helps, you can use this work around. SCSI Probe is a program available on the Internet that will mount a drive after the computer is booted up. Use this to mount the drive after each cold boot.
