Bob wondered :

Listers,

Recently I installed a second drive in my
7200-converted-to-7500-upgraded-to-G3. It is a Seagate ST39102LC with a
68-50pin adapter card. I have 9.1 installed on it and was planning to start
setting it up to be my new startup disk. I'm presently running 8.1.

The new disk has been working fine, until today. Today I couldn't find it
on the desktop, so I restarted. No disk. SCSI-Probe located it (I have it
as #5 on the 0 bus). However, when I try to mount it, SCSI-Probe gives me
the following error message:

FAILED: SCSI error: -7932 (2) Sense: 4 (2)
Seagate ST39102LC

Can anyone suggest what might be going on?

Bob

I assume your CD drive is still terminated at ID = 1.

Rejumper your new drive to ID = 1 or 2 and then things should be fine.
