I burned a cd at work using Quicksilver (came with CDRW) running OS X. The burning software came with the G4, it was bought new. The burned disc would not work in a power mac 5400 running OS 7.5.5, said disc was not initialized. However, the disc works fine in my 7600/G3 OS 9.0.4. Does lister know what is going on? Your help is appreciated - TIA. Peter.
It's your CD drive in your 5400. I did the same thing once and until I swapped out the drive for a newer one, it wouldn't recognize it. It was running 7.5.5 too....
I may have updated the extensions as well.... can't dismember.....
