One thing I failed to mention was that it usually involved my son's
CD's which were extremely scratched up, as he never takes care of
his CD's. But when the Apple CD failed to read and burn/and or
extract , the CDRW rarely did. Many CDRW now even are able to boot
up. It does seem that failing to read and burn CD's is common on this
list and using your CDRW to extract is just another alternative and
sometimes not thought of.
