Man if you were REALLY concerned about 6-7 characters you'd a deleted all the crap at the end of your email.
1) The concern is about characters in the Subject line. Imagine being able to only display 15 characters in the subject line in your mail browser. How many meaningful characters would remain?
2) I can't delete the "crap" at the end of my emails because the mailing list software includes it there automatically after I send a message to the list.
