Is this generally so? I use and have used FreePPP with 9.0.4 with no trouble
on at least 3 different modems. The context of your remarks, Jim, seem to be
9.1 (among other things) so maybe you mean 9.1 when you say "under OS 9"?
Would not mind hearing a confirmation of this as I like FreePPP and am
preparing a HD for 9.1
You're right. I should have been more specific. My comment was based on experience with FreePPP under 9.1. It worked great for me under 7.6,1, but did not work with 9.1.
