Hi, I am sorry to say that, due to budget constraints, I am currently editing video on my PC, using Vegas 4.
However, my stupid Windows machine is very finnicky when it comes to capturing -- it captures for a few minutes, then just STOPS -- the tape continues to play, but capture ENDS. So, I am thinking that perhaps I should press my old 7500 into service to capture...? It is a PowerMac 7500, with a Sonnett G3/450 upgrade, (only) 96 MB of memory, OS 9.1, and a teenie tiny hard drive. What would I need, other than a firewire card and a larger drive, in order to capture video with this machine? Any advice re: what firewire card and which drive to get, will also help! Thanks!
