PCI "peeps"(?...):
It has become clear that the sweet and cheap little HP Deskjet 3520 I bought
for my wife won't work on her 8500, even with the Belkin USB card I also
bought and Apple USB Card Support 1.4.1. -- HP Customer Support said so ("we
only support built-in USB and G3... rumble-rumble..."), even though
hpshopping.com didn't. I have the RMA in my hot little hand; what I
_don�t_ have is a printer solution for my wife.
I need an inexpensive color printer for a PM 8500 running OS 9.1. It could
be a _proven_ USB solution (now that I have the Belkin card), or it could be
serial. Space is also an issue.
I really feel the need to get it right this time, folks, so please burnish
your wisdom and help me out. What are you using on your PCI Macs? Which
printers are reliable? How well do they work with "plain" paper? Et
cetera...
