I'd always suspect straight out bad ram first up for such freezes. Either test each stick separately or take one out and see how you go, if no good, put back and take out another. It would be helpful to know (I don't, sorry) which slot loads the OS (say you have a 64 or 128 in it) because then you could put that in the OS load slot and test each other stick by something like Gauge Pro (it won't test the part with the OS loaded). Make a search for stuff on Gauge pro in previous discussions on this list or on the web... there are issues...but I will say just this, someone pointed out that faults mostly do not always turn up till over about 1200 iterations... I know, it is a bore! Good luck.
