I've got a Powermac 5500/225 with the Video input
card installed. In Monitors & Sound Control
Panel, I set the Input source to CD, TV and LINE,
as I've not found an acutal use for its built-in
Mic yet.
Apple Video Player goes fine with that setup. I
set the input to Video and off it went - I can
watch DVDs on my Mac without a DVD drive. (I
would route it through my VCR but it's a bit old
and doesn't support the Macrovision copy
protection...

Thought I'd play around with the video feature of
my 8500. I hooked up
a VCR to the computer and I'm using Apple Video
Player. I get a picture
but no sound. What am I doing wrong?
Linda
Hi Linda,
I had the same problem. I don't know why, but
I had to work around it by
putting the sound in through the microphone
input.
