Last year, every small business in the State of Ohio was "randomly" selected to participate in an experimental program, where we would pay our monthly Sales Tax online. They flat out said they did not support Macs and you had to use IE to pay your taxes.


They changed the instructions every month for the first eight months. IE crashed so much I used to go online with OmniWeb and file the reports, then log back on with IE to make the payments. (neither OmniWeb or Safari worked for payments) On two different occasions IE crashed in the middle of transferring the money from my checking account to the State's, and they took the money out twice. In twelve months of using the system I think I only got all the way through once, without IE crashing.

Must be a lot of Mac users in Ohio. They went back to paper filing through the postal system for 2004. Of course, we can still use the online system if we want...
