I've had similar problems in the past, but on an external HD.
What helped me was to power down the drive, launch Silverlining, then power up the drive.

Thanks for the reply. Drive Setup will not allow a driver update (the "Update Driver" command remains grayed out when I select the hard drive). The only option with Drive Setup is initialization. I *really* want to avoid that.
