Sorry about the late reply on this issue but I'm in digest mode and just getting caught up after being away.
I recently went thru a similar situation with my 7600/g4/Sonnett ata 133/120GB WD. In the end, after trying everything that's been covered in the thread already I pulled the drive and stuffed it into a g4 running OSX then buzzed it with NDD. That's what it took! Nearly all the files magically reappeared,...except 2 months worth of .tifs and some Appleworks doc's?? I hope this may still prove helpful.
