I have a 7600/132 that I g4'd last year using a 450MHz Sonnet card.
It works great and is very stable in 8.6, 9.1, 9.2 and X [though X needs
tons of vram or it's somewhat of a dog].
It's worth noting that although the bus speed for the 7600/132 is 44MHz
it is actually controlled by the processor daughter card. ie; if you
change your 166MHz card for a 200MHz card you get a 50MHz bus speed as
part of the upgrade. The same thing happens when you install a g3 or g4
card. You get a 50MHz bus speed. In fact, with the Maxpower g3 card you
can tweak the bus speed even higher with the control panel they provide.

Does anyone know if there are any problems with running a G4 CPU
upgrade on
the PM 7300?

What about running older software with the G4 upgrade card?
