If you were properly insured you should be able to re-coup the cost of buying a new copy of any software lost in the fire. Unless you still hold a copy of the End User Lisence Agreement and a proof of purchase you are not legally entitled to use anyone else's copy **AS FAR AS I UNDERSTAND**. I may be incorrect about the specifics.
