My 8600 (like most, I presume) has the A/V connectors on the back. How do I use these?! I don't even know enough yet about the machine to know if I'm missing an extension, a program, a control panel or some grim combination of the three. My machine came out of a newsroom (I think all of mine have, actually), so the A/V hookups were never used at all there. It's currently loaded with OS 8.1, and I'm wondering if moving up in OSes will also solve some of my problems.

I have found that I can use it for freeze frames of video capture and watchin tv through the video, but to really capture a fullscreen film that is impossible - unless you get an extra video card. The videofiles saved to disk takes forever to process, and it does not support DV in iMovie, please prove me wrong,
Lovek
