I'll buy that if you mean that any computer can be dragged to its knees when sufficiently flooded. In this case tho, I'm referring to the flood causing a hard freeze - a stack clog from OT not keeping up with the spice flow. Not all Macs die like that at the same point. eg: I've not been able to freeze my PM 7300 that way, even after swamping my ethernet.

Bottom line: Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my. Script kiddies, malware, etc - they're out there. And Mac OS X viruses are coming.

Bah...they're not. Here's where their low market share works n their favor, a virus can't spread efficiently if it can only infect a few percent of the potential hosts. The same monoculture that enables windows viruses to spread like wildfire inhibit the spread of any others.

0. Intego started the pyre smoking. The back boards are already heated up with how-to discussions. Maybe they'll die out, maybe the won't.

1. So what if they don't spread as fast as Blaster. They will spread. Remember the old auto-start worm? It had no 'net vector, but did quite well!

2. Propagation isn't much of an issue if you're a direct target.

3. Citing Apple's puny market share is auntiMac and almost the equivalent of the old "Security Through Obscurity" bogosity. hum. I think I have to penalize you a thousand quatloos for that one, Bruce. :)
