(first attempt at cutting and pasting, sorry if it's a
mess.)
Market value of my 300 mhz celeron pc., figured
probably part it out and salvage some of the stuff for
my mac. Specifically IDE 10g HD and ATI rage pro 8mb
card.
Currently has 2g scsi 0 hd, 200 mb ram, 7300/g4/os 8.6

>If the 7300 was a 200Mhz. originally, you've got a
50Mhz. Bus Speed.
Good.

---It used to be a 180 mhz. Not as good?

>The Vid Card would need to be flashed to Mac if it's
do-able.

----What exactly is flashing, and how do you go about
doing something like that? What kind of improvement
is there with said card?

The 10gig drive, is it ATA 33 or 66? MAybe 133?

---How do you tell which ATA it requires? 33 slower
than 133 obviously?

--One last question was about USB/firewire cards, in
regards to stability and compatiblity. It has the
maxpower g4 350mhz card running with 8.6. I would like
to find a decent printer/scanner, for not a whole lot
of clams, with USB connection, and maybe eventually a
USB or FW CDRW. I have read of some folk's woes when
they get a pci implant for usb and find it doesn't
play nice with a video card or processor upgrade card,
ect.../ Any suggestions?
Still scratching my head....

Jason
