Lately I seem to be switching a lot between NS 7, NS 4.8 (for mail and
Usenet), iCab and tonight I tried IE 5 (first time in a year or so). They all seem to have their pro's and con's. Maybe I try Mozilla 1.3.1 next?
hum. NS for email and usenet. :\ I'm not fond of shotgun remedies - be they overpriced OTC drugs or "bonus" afterthoughts bundled with browsers. Don't put your eggs all in one basket, and all that rot... That way a single bogus upgrade doesn't cripple you totally.
My favs:
Eudora for email, on OS 8/9/X and Win*cough*tel.
MT-NewsWatcher for USENET text newsgroups.
iCab and Mozilla 1.3.1 seem to be a great combo for web browsing.
On OS 8/9, MT-NewsWatcher doesn't handle yEnc formatted USENET bunnies well, so for those I like Thoth. But back to MT-NW for bunnies on OS X.
I still hand write the HTML tags for my business web site.
I'm a hand-coder too! What do you like to use, a raw text editor or BBEdit or Alpha or ? My fav is Alpha (I like to code in Tcl) and I'm too cheap to pay for BBEdit. :)
