I run 10,000 rpm Seagate Cheetah 36 GB drives in the "penthouse" without 
problems.

I use 68 pin drives ... not 80 pin converted drives.

Cables are short to the "penthouse" and there are no cooling problems.

The "penthouse" was designed with 9 GB 68 pin drives in mind. I have had 
significant problems with 18 GB WD 68 pin drives there, which prompted my 
change to 36 GB Seagates.
