another alternative to drive bay cooling is
if you are handy to use the removable side
panel and cut a hole in it and mount a
standard 3" - 4" fan.  Youll need a dremel
for the metal shielding and the plastic cuts
away rather nicely... it wont look pretty
but it will do the trick.

Ive got the original CD drive in top bay
(modified top floppy bezel to access cd tray)
and 3 seagate 10k rpm drives in the bays below...
Right now i have an internal fan blowing down
(modified pci slot fan) 
ive reversed the fan direction on the bottom
side panel fan to blow outward.... and i have
another pci slot fan on slot 4

im planning to do this mod and with the removable
side panel, you dont have to take apart the mobo
or anything, just make sure any metal shavings
are blown away (or vacuumed out).  ive been
trying to limit noise leaks to minimum, thats why
i have not made this modification yet.  (audio
