Hi all,

I'd have a problem: I've just discovered that the bottom three PCI slots of
my Power Mac 9500 don't work - or so it seems, at least.

I installed three Yamaha audio cards there: DS2416, AX-16AT, SW1000XG. In
the other three, there are three video cards: ATI Radeon 7000 64MB
(flashed), VillageTronic MP540 with 3D Overdrive and Paloma (this
VillageTronic stuff takes two slots), all correctly functioning and
recognised.

Before, I never used those three slots. I've just installed those three
audio cards, their drivers, and checked with Apple System Profiler: I can
see only the first three slots (A1, B1, C1), those with the video cards (the
remaining three slots are not even listed in ASP).

Looks like the circuit controlling the other three slots is faulty. Any idea
of what to check?

I didn't have the chance to swap cards to test if any video card is
recognised in all slots - but I think I'll do it as soon as I find some time
during next week. The audio cards, anyway, were fully functioning in a
PM7500 before I moved them to the 9500, so it's likely that fiddling with
the unfriendly 9500's tower case will be just a waste of time...

Thanks in advance,
