Dear Byron,

I have a 6500, OS 9.1 with two 64 mg. ram & a G 3 CPU 400 (Sonnet). I have
lots of programs & Aps on it, an external 40 gig HD + internal 4 gig HD that
came on it. It is solid & steady as a rock. Have scanner, printer
peripherals. Installed Firewire & USB card, use DSL, have Netscape &
Internet Explorer on it & use Outlook Express for email because I like their
format. None of these cause problems. Don't use Netscape much as it is
slow & if I am going to have problems, it would probably be in connection
with it. It is an older version, 4.7. I won't say I never have a freeze,
but it is seldom. Have you tested your extensions one by one to see if one
is the culprit. Perhaps you have a corrupted file that is causing the
problem.

I believe I have read on this List that perhaps bad ram could cause
problems. Perhaps someone with experience on that can help you, but as to
the 6500, OS 9.1, I think it is about as stable as they come. Hope you find
out what is causing the crashes. They are so frustrating.
Ginny
