Apples specs for old Macs says the 4400/200 uses "JEDEC-standard 3.3-volt unbuffered EDO DIMM devices", 168-pins.
The specs for the PM 8500 also says 168-pin DIMMs, but when I tried transplanting them to the 4400, I couldnt get them in. Does this mean they are electrically different, or am I just clumsy?
I dont know - but I think that you should not try to do that,
(I tried to copy the info from guru but that didnt work sigh)
it says that the PM 4400 memory is 3.3 volt edo and that the 8.500 is 5 volt - so maybe you could damage something when trying, don't do that !
unless someone else has better info !?
