Can anyone suggest best method to clean suspected, unseen, deep goop-buildup on old device cables?
Is there any kind of de-gooper product that may clean and/or improve conductivity between cable & card?

Electronic cleaner in a well ventilated area will get the pins and sockets, card edges and slots clean with the help of a small brush.
For continuity there is a government spec fluid. I think it;s called S 10. It is very expensive though. It is meant to keep continuity
in the most severe conditions.
