The drive at the end of the SCSI cable should be terminated. The other drive
should not be terminated.

the drives around, and both connectors <seem> to work okay.>>

---------
Possible

<<2. Silly question probably, but the jumpers I have are taller than the
original factory one. But, the package is labeled SCSI jumpers. Is height
going to make a difference?>>

---------
They come different sizes. As long as they "connect" the two appropriate pins
electronically it should not matter.
---------

<<3. I saw a couple of posts, but I'm still not clear -does it matter in the
7500 where the master is on the SCSI cable?>>

---------
There is no "master" in SCSI. You can have up to 6 devices connected to a
SCSI II bus. It does matter that each device has a unique ID set from #0-6. In
your case convention is the SCSI controller on the logic board is #7, the
factory setting of the CD-ROM is #3 and the factory setting of the startup drive #0.
Thus case your second hard drive should have an ID set to either #2,#4,#5, or
#6.

<<4. Should I just throw it all in and get a PCI card and install an IDE as a
second drive?>>

---------
Not necessary. However it will be faster than 10 MB/Sec speed of the 7500s
internal SCSI bus.
