Sorry, I know your only venting, (must be very frustrating).

but I have come into this a bit late, if your unhappy, tell your ISP(if you
unsatified with that, call other ISPs(try http://whirlpool.net.au, for a
proper product comparision in you area), if thats not going to do it, call
Telstra, they can give you an idea, as to how your connection is handled.

Dial-up Vs Whatever - the offers must be limitless(and EXTREAMLY expensive),
you must have had offers for /dial-up/ADSL/Cables/Sat, or something or
other...

Anyway... Not knowing the full story, basically the speed is up to what you
have arranged with the ISP(and what they can provide), what/when,and how
many people are using it.

PS. our company in Melbourne, City Rd, Southbank pays $1,200+ per month, for
30 users(High, usage, high end Printing Company), that is the BEST we can
get for what we do!
