I want to upgrade my Sonnet G4/450 9600 to OS X. My understanding is that
for now 10.2 Jaguar is the furthest I can go. I'd like to know what to look
for when purchasing the Jaguar install disks, since I picked up a set of
10.1 Install discs for G4, that probably came with a new computer, that I
have not been able to get to work with Sonnet's upgrade software. Any tips
or hints will be appreciated.

Thanks,
David

To be specific, currently Sonnet is only supporting Jaguar with their install/support software. If you use XPostFacto <http://eshop.macsales.com/OSXCenter/XPostFacto/> to install OS X and Powerlogix CPU Director to activate the L2/L3 caches, you can install Panther on your 9600. I use this combination with my Sonnet G4/800 and it is extremely stable. Also, Panther is faster than 10.2 and the updated Safari is much more usable.

In either case, your best bet is to acquire retail CDs rather than machine specific ones.
