Dan, you do realise that, assuming an 8-BIT or UTF-8 based character set,
838 (approx) characters is less that 1KB, right? Even in if forced into
UTF-16, it's still around 2KB. Let's put it into perspective, please! It's
not like anyone is subjeccted to 2400 Modems anymore?! Even in the poorest
catered for sections of the US there must be at least 14.4K speeds, right? I
hear 28.8K is quite common in such areas... In most of Europe (UK for
example) we either have darn near 56K or broadband now. 1KB is a mear blip.
