I can attest to that...

I have a G3/500mhz Sonnet and I have been happy w/ its performance, BUT I had 
to use an older Sonnet driver to make it stop crashing on startup (the one it 
came with was for G3s and G4s).

Also, whatever you get, make sure it has the 1mb backside cache.
