Hi listers,

I'm getting ready to install a Redeon 7000 in my 9600
with the following specs:

544 RAM
OS 9.1
ATI Mach 64 video card
IX Micro Twin Turbo 128 video card
generic usb card
generic firewire card
Formac G3 400 cpu card

I see by the documentaion that I need to have openGL
1.2.2 from OS 9.2. I've downloade tomeviewer to do
that. I can also go to 9.2.1 or 9.2.2 via os9 helper
if that's a better option. I see there is a newer
driver from ATI online that requires 9.2.1 or higher,
whereas the original Readeon 7000 install disk only
requires 9.1 plu openGL 1.2.2.

What's the best way to go?

Should just add this video card to the mix with the
other two, or should I remove one or both of the older
ones? I'm trying to get this machine ready for a
Panther install if that makes any difference. I think
X won't work with the IXM card. But I want to get the
Radeon running properly in 9 before I make the leap to
Panther.

I'm currently running dual monitors: an applevision
17" and a Sony 19".

TIA,

Steve in digest mode
(please copy me directly so I can proceed ASAP...Thanx)
