<< On a four wire Molex power lead, one red, two black, one yellow, is it 12 v red, 5v yellow, two black grounds? >>
Japan Molex is used on PeeCee floppies and on SCSI Zips, only. AMP Mate-N-Lock is used on everything else. Numbering for AMP is ... Pin 1 - +12 volts - Yellow Pin 2 - +12 volts return (same as ground) - Black Pin 3 - +5 volts return (same as ground) - Black Pin 4 - +5 volts - Red Numbering for Japan AMP is the reverse of the above ... Pin 1 - +5 volts - Red Pin 2 - +5 volts return (same as ground) - Black Pin 3 - +12 volts return (same as ground) - Black Pin 4 - +12 volts - Yellow Note that PeeCee and Mac power supplies have a -5 volts and a -12 volts, so the correct terminology for pins 2 and 3 are "returns" for their corresponding + voltages, NOT - voltage. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
