Unfortunately a lot of the machine specific install CD's won't work on  
anything else. I have a grey colored iMac OS 9.1 install CD that works  
on anything I've tried it on, but other iMac CD's have not worked. It's  
a crap shoot buying those CD's so I wouldn't suggest it unless it can  
be returned.

Do you have an iBook ? There's some options if you have the iBook.
